Connect to Armageddon MUD

In an effort to try and make connecting to Armageddon MUD as easy and accessible as possible, we have made use of a Java Telnet Applet from http://www.mud.de/se/jta.

Configured within this applet is an assortment of helpful buttons to the left-side of the window. These buttons are designed to be used while the user is currently playing a character within the game, and not during any of the login menus. While this utility is not as robust as some MUD clients, it is made available here as a courtesy to our players.

Just click on the button to connect!
(If you don't see the button below, visit www.java.com to install java.)

Known Problems:

Problem: Description / Solution:
The RETURN / ENTER key doesn't work. This is known bug in the telnet applet for anyone using Windows 2000. The author is aware of the problem and hopefully will make a patch / new release available soon. The only known workaround available is to type the CTRL-M key sequence instead of RETURN / ENTER.
A window pops up, but you are unable to connect. (Connection refused) This is usually because you are behind a firewall, which prevents your machine from connecting to a "non-standard" telnet port (eg. 4050). Sadly, there is nothing we can do to fix this problem.
A window does not pop up. This may be due to your browser having Java disabled. This is a Java Applet, and requires your browser to be configured to allow Java. Please check your browser settings, and adjust them if necessary.
Nothing happens, or your browser crashes. Some older versions of Netscape & Internet Explorer will not support this Applet. It is written using Java v2.0, and older browsers cannot understand Java v2.0. We would suggest upgrading your browser to the latest release.
I logged out, and logged back in but everything scrolls on the top line. We haven't figured this one out yet. However, if you close out completely and reload the page again before connecting, it seems to clear up the problem.
The scrolling seems messed up when you use infobar. This seems to be a glitch when using infobar. We have been unable to find a solution to the problem, and suggest that players do not use the infobar while using this applet.
