Contacting the Staff

Any staff member can be emailed at theirname@armageddon.org, as in nessalin@armageddon.org. Additionally you can reach the overall mud account at mud@armageddon.org. All staff members at the level of Highlord or above have access to this account, although usually only one person answers it at a time.

Please cc: mud on email to staff members. This allows us to archive player correspondence in a single location, as well as to track game activity better. Staff members have been asked to cc: mud on their emails to you as well.

MUD correspondance is usually answered within one week. If it has been more than one week, feel free to send a query about the status of your email. When writing to the staff, bear in mind that this is a volunteer effort and that for all of us, regrettably, things like jobs, exams, or sweethearts and spouses will on occasion take precedence over the game.

Please include in the subject line of the email your account name, your current character name if applicable and a brief indication of what the email is regarding. For example: account Phoenix, char Sanvean, request for RP feedback; account Dieselsweetie, char Robot, need my laser limb reimbursed; account Rumsfeld, wondering what the status of Blackmoon is.

A list of which staff member handles what game area is included at http://www.armageddon.org/general/staff.php.

Some tips for better results:

  • Be succinct, clear, and to the point. Do not include your life story and a lengthy explanation of how being abused by Mickey Mouse as a child led up to your creating more than one account. A good rule of thumb is to keep an email to 250 words or less.
  • Be polite. Politeness is an often underestimated survival skill in life.
  • Humor often does not translate well in text.
  • Include all the necessary information, including logs, details of time and place, etc. Logs should be attached as plaintext documents; documents in MSWord, Excel spreadsheets, etc., will be returned with a request that they be sent in plaintext.
  • Include what you would like back: your request fulfilled; desired information; who you would like the email passed to; etc.
