There are a plethora of jobs within Zalanthas, performed by rich and poor alike. All people do something to survive within their respective cultures, even if it is just scavenging or begging for a living. You are limited only by your imagination when it comes to enacting your character's profession. Skills and guilds offer a framework, but there is no reason why you cannot play a gardener or stable-hand or tutor, for example, just because there is no class that directly corresponds to the job.
The following jobs are available depending on your location and are a way for any character to make money.
Within clan structures there are certain jobs which have hardcoded aspects. For example there are 'recruiters' and 'leaders' and positions denoted by ranks, such as Private, Corporal, Lieutenant and so on.
