SearchHouse Salarr
Perhaps the largest Merchant House in existence, House Salarr is the premier dealer in arms and armour in the Known World. The House's overall prosperity should come as no surprise, given the level of physical conflict encountered in the world, and subsequently, the continual demand for armour and weapons.
Before the Fall of Tuluk, House Salarr operated large market complexes in both Allanak and Tuluk; currently, the Allanaki business remains strong, while a much newer re-opened compound in New Tuluk continues to grow. The House also used to operate a small trading outpost between Allanak and Luir's Outpost, but it has fallen into disrepair, and is rumoured to have once been taken over by gith raiders.
Some time ago, the Salarri merchant Khann D'Arden made a name for the House through his extensive business dealings, and through the founding of the J'Karr, an elite mercenary band dedicated to the protection of Salarri operations. With Khann's retirement, however, the J'Karr gradually disintegrated, but the name remains (for various reasons) in the memory of many. Today, warriors still flock to the service of House Salarr, if not for the pay, then for the rumoured access to the finest arms and armour in the Known World.
